Mine is the previous, glowing review of on this page. After 2 years the 2nd regulator failed. This time spewing a stream of liquid propane from the regulator's body. The first one (warranty replacement), I could just smell when it failed. The very nice Gas One rep explained they no longer make a regulator that will connect to this model by hose although the stove is still in production. As the hose is not damaged it would seem attaching the original hose to the new style regulator would work. But it was explained the new style regulator is only available with a fixed pipe that will not attach to the old style fitting on the original stove. So, my original stove is still pretty to look at but, useless. after 2 years.

Worked great but the aluminium burner melted. I want to live this stove. I contacted customer service but they don't sell a replacement part. I couldn't find the receipt so they couldn't honor the warranty. Why don't they have a record too. So my stove is now unsafe trash. Why do they have an aluminum burner on a 12000 but stove? Great customer service but I know cheaper stoves that don't melt. And by the way, I was boiling water in an 8" diameter pot, that shouldn't cause it to melt

I have the 4000P, and am happy with it so far (10 mths. as a tent dwelling nomad). However, the red plastic cover has broken and I'm in need of a replacement. Any ideas (spec. mod/part#)?

The 12,000 BTU Butane/Propane and Propane Camp Stoves are excellent stoves with attention to detail and construction. The piezoelectric ignition helps to eliminate the need for matches and the heat output ensures well cooked nutricious meals in the outdoors. The gas canisters can be purchased at Walmart and most outdoor stores.

Very compact, easy to set up, and provides plenty of heat

During a recent home kitchen remodel I realized my 40 year old Coleman camp stove was going to need more than a coat of spray paint to remain a functional substitute. I have wanted to go smaller as space in the back of a Subaru is at a premium. And I never seem to need a second burner. A Jet boil was at the top of the list when I read about GasOne's products. I have become almost exclusively a car camper / day hiker so, weight wasn't critical. And the the stable platform, propane performance and stellar reviews of GasOne products won me over. I went for the top model (GS 4000P) due to indecision and the promise of more wind protection. So far, it has only seen the interior of my unfinished kitchen and is run off a 5 gal. propane tank with a GasOne steel braided hose. After a couple hundred lightings, I am completely impressed. It fires up flawlessly the first time, every time with just a turn of the knob. And the flame is very controllable from simmer to full 12k BTU. It is sturdy enough to use my large cast iron skillet. I have no doubt that is will work as well at 10k feet elevation from my smaller tank or 1 lb bottle of propane. The stainless steel is easy to clean and the gold anodizing bling make me smile.

Nice looking stove but instructions are garbage. Everywhere Butane is indicated as the fuel to use. There are NO instructions regarding the use of Propane cylinders. The label on the stove says to use Butane. Only the labels on the case say that propane may be used with the adapter. No Propane lighting instructions or safety concerns indicated. Useless! And the case is cracked!

Works with both butane and propane which is a huge plus. Looks great too
